Free-hand tracking shots without jerking, through doors, around objects or in different heights are challenges for video filmers. But with the walimex Steadycam such tracking shots succeed without problems. The leverage of the monopod acts as a counterweight and balances the camcorder at any time. Through the cardan joint in the floating head, jerky movements of the video filmer can be absorbed.

Furthermore, the monopod provides steady pictures and it is even possible taking video above the crowd for birdseye view. A remote control on a fixture is a big help for these kind of videos. The walimex Steadycam is therefore particular suitable for taking videos with camcorders up to 2kg. It consists of a 4 section telescoping monopod, a floating head and a stabilization device. The parts can be mounted easily and are easy to store in the bag, which is included in delivery.
An optional counter-weight for low angle shots close to the ground level is also available. It is ideal for taking video of little babies crawling on the carpet or of pets at their eye level.
