The extraordinary, distorted appearance of the Fish-Eye Lens leads to a completely new view of things. It is particularly suitable for shootings in small or narrow rooms, but certainly also for landscape photography. Through the focal length of 8mm, you can capture exciting wide-angle pictures in complete sharpness. It just requires a minimal distance from 30cm. The Lens is characterized through its coated glass lenses and thus ensures a brilliant contrast and sharpness range. With this Lens you will have completely new composition opportunities. Ideal for panorama shootings and effect pictures. Straight lines, which are not positioned in the middle of the picture, will be showed curved. A barrel distortion is the result.  The high-grade quality concerning optics and mechanics provides an optimal picture result. The focusing is manual.
Important note: Please consider, that on the Nikon models d40, d50, d70, d70s, d80 and d100 the build-in exposure measurement does not work in connection with MF lenses. The exposure measuring must be effected external. All other analogue and digital Nikon models support the exposure measurement and aperture priority with this lens.
